The Competition Bureau has released the results of its review of recent developments in certain self-regulated professions to remove unnecessary restrictions on competition. The assessment, entitled “Self-regulated Professions: Post-study Assessment”.
The purpose of this Post-Study Assessment is to review and assess progress made in implementing the recommendations contained in the Bureau’s 2007 Professions Study that examined regulations associated with five professions: accountants, lawyers, optometrists, pharmacists and real estate agents.
